This AA top-lot, fully washed coffee comes from the Kainamui washing station in Kirinyaga County. Kainamui is one of three stations run by the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society, where around 2,000 small-scale farmers grow the coffee here, with about 60% being men and 40% women. Most of them have just a few hundred trees, growing at high altitudes up to 1,800 meters.
