Limited Release | Peru El Mirador Gesha
This coffee comes from a small half-hectare farm growing Gesha variety at 2,100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level. The harvest runs from August through October.
Farmers use selective picking, meaning they hand-pick only the ripest 85% of cherries. After picking, the coffee goes through an extended fermentation of 50 hours, which develops more complex flavors. Finally, it's dried naturally at ambient temperature for approximately 12-15 days.
The high altitude, Gesha varietal, selective picking, and extended fermentation all contribute to a refined, complex specialty-grade coffee.
Notes: Mandarin orange, lemon blossom, jasmine
