This incredible coffee comes from a single small producer, Alejandro Pablo Cruz, who along with his wife works about two and a half acres of land in the Huehuetenango region of western Guatemala. Made up of Caturra and Bourbon, this is easily the finest Guatemalan coffee that we’ve tasted in recent years, and it’s among our favorites ever. The cup is bursting with tropical fruits, from papaya to mango to passion fruit, with sugary sweetness, lush and juicy acidity, and a clean finish. The outstanding quality of this traditional washed coffee is a testament to the careful growing, picking, and processing of the Cruzes and their fellow workers.
