Colombia Alvaro Mora
The Villa Pastora farm, located in Palestina, Huila, was founded in the 1980s by Mis. Pastora Anacona, Gerson Mora's paternal grandmother, who planted the first coffee trees. The farm, now in its third generation of coffee growers, has been passed down through the Mora Ortega family, with a strong focus on producing high-quality, differentiated coffees.
Álvaro Mora, Gerson's father, has played a key role in expanding the family's coffee legacy. Villa Pastora honors his mother, who started the coffee tradition. The farm is known for its commitment to sustainable practices and quality, with Álvaro aiming to earn recognition for the care and passion put into each cup.
Villa Pastora also supports the local community by employing eight people and offering services like fermentation advice and drying for other coffee growers. Álvaro's collaborations, including his involvement in the Delagua project, help expand the farm's reach and contribute to the local economy.
